Affiliation
The State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Bihar, is the statutory body responsible for technical education under the Science, Technology and Technical Education Department, Govt. of Bihar Established on May 31, 1955, its mandate covers curriculum design, standard setting, and the certification of Diploma courses for all Government and Private Polytechnics affiliated to SBTE, Bihar.
The institute currently offers diploma programmes in the following five disciplines
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Computer Science and Engineering
All the above programmes are conducted strictly in accordance with the curriculum, academic regulations, and examination system prescribed by SBTE, Bihar.

AICTE EOA/LOA
As per regulatory requirements, every approved institution must possess a valid Extension of Approval (EOA) or Leer of Approval (LOA) from the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Students can verify these documents on the respective college websites or the AICTE portal or the SBTE Website.
Affiliated institutes & Courses
The Board publishes an official list of Affiliated institutes & Courses. Students can check the "Affiliation" section on the SBTE website to see the list of Government / Private/ Autonomous institutes list with sanctioned branches (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, CSE, etc.) and the intake capacity for each polytechnic with branch/course name to ensure that they are enrolled in a recognized program.
This affiliation guarantees that students receive a recognized diploma qualification and ensures transparency, consistency, and credibility in the academic and evaluation processes.
