Government Polytechnic, Purnea is a premier technical institution in Bihar, established in the year 1960 by the Department of Science, & Technology (DST), Government of Bihar. The institute was founded with the visionary objective to set up an effective technical education system and nurture skilled diploma engineers in the region. Officially affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE), Patna, the institution possesses all the necessary modern amenities required to function as a centre of academic excellence.
